Are the gods angry? Is the cosmic order disturbed?

For the Incas and Mayans thousands of years ago, a solar eclipse was a powerful sign in the sky, associated with great fear and the desire to appease the gods again through rituals.

Today, with our knowledge of the sun-earth constellation, we have a beautiful natural phenomenon before us.

And yet, if we wish, we can give this event symbolic meaning.

Let's assume that the sun stands for vitality, for consciousness, for clarity, for growth. And that the darkening can mean retreat, introspection, turning to what is hidden within us and wants to be lived.

When the solar eclipse then dissolves again and with the return of light a second morning awakens for a brief moment, it embodies the image of renewal. The world regains new strength. A new beginning is possible.

The solar eclipse, therefore, as a threshold moment: Something old passes and something new begins.

What will you make of it?

We will surrender to the whole. Not want too much. Not want to see everything. But above all, feel.

Perhaps it will be completely silent for a moment. Perhaps the birds will fall silent. And perhaps we will experience how, with the returning light, the world seems to awaken once more.
