Lluc Monastery on Mallorca so beautiful in its silence

like a private audience: we know the Lluc monastery from the quieter winter months outside the main tourist season, because it has become unbearably crowded in the summer (for us) over the years, and yesterday we had the proverbial "luck in misfortune" to experience our beloved meditation place in extreme "seclusion" in the Mallorca economic and health crisis that is omnipresent, and yes, it was incredibly beautiful, profound,

everything was completely new and yet so familiar, the service was held just for us and one other worshipper, no children's choir, but a positive, energetically optimistic priest who sang with devotion....

was not our plan, it just happened that way, across religions so to speak, it was very nice! we thank you from the bottom of our hearts

This is now the case in the Lluc monastery:
3 restaurants are still closed, as is the souvenir shop,

the Madonna is now permanently visible from the monastery church, no longer turns to her small chapel for devotion, is "not to be touched" (otherwise the fixed point at her feet), the small chapels around her are closed,

Disinfectants at all doors,

Masks are only compulsory when there are crowds of people, so not for us in this case

Meanwhile, pictures of the church choir serve as place markers, with the request to sit at a respectful distance from the next person.....
